Police have arrested Jayaram Chaulagain, 23, of Dhulikhel Municipality-8 on the charge of raping a girl. Chaulagain brought a 15-year-old girl from Dhulikhel Municipality-8 of Kavrepalanchok to Bhaktapur Guest House in Bhaktapur Municipality-4 and raped her, police said.
According to Deepak Giri, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Metropolitan Police Complex, Bhaktapur, the girl was brought to Bhaktapur on Ashad 5 after being tricked into going to Bhaktapur and raped after being taken to Bhaktapur Guest House for lunch.
Nepal Police had arrested Chaulagain while he was hiding in Sundhara, Kathmandu. Her mother had handed her over to the District Police Office, Dhulikhel after the girl went missing on 5th of Ashad at 10 am. While searching for the girl on the basis of the petition, the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Circle found the girl in Sundhara on Sunday and handed her over to the Bhaktapur Police.
